“We were promised sufferings, they were part of the program. We were even told, “Blessed Are They That Mourn”
This reminded me of the fact that sufferings when we come to look at it, are not everyday, everywhere. And I do not mean suffering, as in pain, loss, emotion for the sake of love or financial trouble. I guess we all suffer that way, atheist and theist alike. But I think the suffering as foretold in teh gospel, is because of your testimony for Christ. I do not use the word faith because most often faith is something of an idea we hold in heart. It is only when our faith is reflected through our lives – that it corresponds with the message of the gospel which we hope to carry with us, is when we form a beleiver’s testimony. And I think if we live our testimony we will certainly be facing some trouble.
As you go to your bed at night and kneel down to pray, be humble in spirit and remember those out there, who are persecuted only because they beleive in Christ Jesus. And remember them as you are yourself persecuted for that is the only way we can be a part of their suffering.
“Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.” (Hebrews 13:3)
